The State Police has finalized the police operation codenamed "Operation 66", conducted by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force. As a result, 43-year-old Mersin Cenolli, alias Ervis Cenolli, declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, was arrested in Tirana.
Cenolli was sentenced by the Court of Appeal in Milan to 5 years and 1 month in prison for participating in a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics. The arrest was carried out with the aim of extradition to Italy, while Interpol Tirana is following the procedures for his surrender to the Italian authorities.

A 43-year-old man, sentenced in Italy to 5 years and 1 month in prison, for participating in a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics, has been arrested in Tirana.
Following successive operations to capture citizens declared internationally wanted, the structures of the Directorate of Special Operational Force at the DPSSh finalized the operation codenamed "Operation 66". During this operation, the following citizen was captured in Tirana and arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy:
Mersin Cenolli alias Ervis Cenolli, 43 years old, resident of Tirana.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Appeal in Milan, with the decision dated 06.05.2025, sentenced him to 5 years and 1 month in prison, for participating in a criminal organization that trafficked narcotics.
Interpol Tirana continues procedures in cooperation with Italian authorities for the extradition of this citizen.
