After a search operation that lasted about two hours in the Majë e Guri area within the “Shebenik” National Park, two French tourists were found and successfully rescued. Thanks to the cooperation between the Elbasan Protected Areas Authority and local residents, the tourists were located and escorted to the place where they were staying, ensuring that their health condition was good.
The Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park is one of the main nature tourism destinations in Albania, known for its high mountain peaks, dense forests and rich biodiversity. During the summer and autumn periods, the park attracts many local and foreign visitors, however the difficult terrain often presents challenges in orientation.
