Gazmend Buçpapa, who stabbed Egli Pashollari to death, has been arrested. The incident occurred a few days ago and the crime was committed in front of the suspected perpetrator's wife, who, according to investigators, is suspected of being the cause of the clash between Buçpapa and the former prison guard 313.
The Tirana Local Police Directorate announced that, in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, the operation codenamed "Distance" was finalized.
As a result of intensive pursuit and well-organized operational work, it was possible to locate and arrest the perpetrator of the stabbing of citizen EP.
The perpetrator, a GB citizen, was kept under surveillance while hiding in an apartment in Tropoja.
According to the police, the incident occurred on 20.02.2026, during a conflict on "Kongresi i Lushnjes" street. Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector at the Tirana Police Department, in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office, carried out the operation to capture him in his hometown.
The 40-year-old is accused of the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder" and "Unlicensed Production, Possession, Purchase or Sale of Cold Weapons."
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
