The Vlora Police reacted regarding the arrest of Flodian Plaku, one of the most wanted persons in the country, who is accused of the mafia execution of Gentjan Bejtja in the village of Larush, but also other criminal events in Vlora and abroad. According to the director of the Vlora Police, Elidon Cela, the action codenamed "Eterna" was highly dangerous, since at the moment of the arrest, Flodian Plaku, also known by the names Florjan Serjani (Mamo), had a pistol with cartridges in the holster, ready to shoot.
"This citizen is accused of the murder of citizen Gentjan Bejtja, on 15.03.2024, who was shot with a firearm within the perimeter of his apartment. The investigative actions have resulted in the perpetrators approaching the victim's apartment in a 'Land Rover' type vehicle and after committing the murder, they left for the village of Hasan, where they burned the vehicle," Cela declared.
At the time of the arrest and in the premises where Plaku was staying, weapons and 25,000 euros in cash were found, for which the suspected criminal source is being investigated, as well as 7 cell phones.
"During the police intervention in the hotel where he was hiding, along with citizen Flodian Plaku, citizen Julian Aliaj alias Julian Pashaj, 43 years old, was also arrested, who during the operation was caught with a pistol firearm with a magazine of cartridges," the police director emphasized.
According to the police, 4 more people were arrested for helping Plaku hide. "During the in-depth investigations into this case, it was found that citizens AL, 36 years old, resident of Vlora, AD, 31 years old, resident of Vlora, and LD, 57 years old, resident of Tirana, helped in the shelter, communication and movement of the wanted citizen Flodian Plaku. They were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of 'Supporting the perpetrator of the crime'", the police concluded.
