A 33-year-old man with Dutch citizenship has been criminally prosecuted by the Police in Korça after he was filmed assaulting his daughter in the New Bazaar area.
According to the footage, the young man grabs and pulls the minor girl by the hair, who was crying during the incident. The girl's mother was nearby, but did not intervene to stop the violence. Initial investigations revealed that the defendant is the girl's biological father.
The materials have been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office at the Korça Court of First Instance, and criminal proceedings have been initiated against him for "Maltreatment of a minor." The police appeal to citizens to report any case of violence against children for further investigation.
