A worrying situation was recorded this afternoon in Malësia e Madhe, where several fires broke out within a few minutes in the areas of Rrëza, Veshti, Delaj and in the village of Jeran, Kastrat administrative unit.
According to sources on the ground, during the efforts to bring the flames under control, a fire truck was engulfed in flames and completely burned. Despite the difficult conditions, affected by strong winds and high temperatures, firefighters managed to locate and isolate the fires.
Several firefighting vehicles and forces were deployed in the intervention operation, with the largest concentration in the village of Jeran, where the flames threatened both large areas of vegetation and surrounding homes.
Currently, the fire has been extinguished and the situation is under control.
