Shocking details have been revealed about the disappearance of 48-year-old Nadire Shpata, from the village of Bujan in Tropoja. Four days before her disappearance, the circumstances of which still remain a mystery, she went to visit the Tropoja hospital, where doctors found signs of violence on her body. It remains unclear why the case was not reported to the police by the medical staff.
After this visit, the woman returned to the apartment and on the evening of July 22, or in the early hours of July 23, she disappeared without a trace. The Kukes police have arrested her husband, Imer Shpata, on suspicion of “domestic violence”. He has stated that he had a cold relationship with his wife since the moment she reported him for violence, which led to his 8-month prison sentence. However, he insists that he has nothing to do with her disappearance.
According to his testimony, the wife was at home last night, and in the morning she left for her sister in Durres. However, strong doubts about his alibi are raised by the fact that the wife's phone was found in Imer Shpata's car, for which he did not give an explanation as to how it ended up there.
Investigators suspect that they may be facing a serious criminal incident, although no evidence was found in the apartment to prove this. The fact that Nadire Shpata sought medical help due to the violence raises suspicions that she may have intended to denounce her husband again, which may have led to a harsh reaction from him.
Police are continuing their investigations, while the woman's fate remains a mystery.
