The 30 people arrested during the "First Day" police mega-operation have arrived today at the Elbasan Court, where a hearing was scheduled to be held to determine security measures.
The operation, led by the Prosecutor's Office and conducted during the night and morning of Monday, September 8, extended to several cities in the Elbasan region. As a result, 30 people were arrested, while another was released under investigation. Arrest warrants were issued for 25 of them by the Elbasan Court, while 5 others were caught red-handed during the operation. In addition, 14 other people have been declared wanted for suspected criminal activities, mainly related to drug trafficking.
Today, during the court session, the defense attorneys requested time to familiarize themselves with the investigation documents in order to prepare their defense and positions for their respective clients. For this reason, the court decided to postpone the session.
The next hearing to determine security measures for the arrested will be held tomorrow, September 11, 2025, at 09:30 at the Elbasan Court.
