The protest continued today on its 48th day. Thousands of citizens gathered in front of the prime minister's office demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.
This Friday, they have renewed the call for the rest of the citizens to gather on July 23 at 8:30 a.m. at 'Skënderbej' Square and then move towards Parliament where the last parliamentary session will take place.
Citizens have expressed that it will be the last day of the government and of Parliament.
There have also been calls for a Special Prosecution Office to crack down on government and prime minister corruption and the latter's impeachment.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly of the protest is expected to be established tomorrow. The first meeting of this assembly has been announced at 12:00 at the Tirana Hotel.
