After weeks of protests in Tirana and other cities across the country, organizers are preparing for the next step: the first meeting of the National Citizens' Assembly, which will take place this Saturday, July 18, at the Tirana International Hotel.
One of the organizers, Përparim Gjeka, has announced that so far there has been a high turnout in applications to become part of the Assembly, while online registrations close tonight at 24:00.
According to him, all registrants will receive a confirmation email, while those who will not be physically in the hall will have the opportunity to participate through the Zoom platform.
The National Citizens' Assembly has been announced by the organizers as a new phase of the protest movement, where further organization and steps to be taken following the protest are expected to be discussed. The meeting is scheduled to start at 12:00 at the Tirana International Hotel.
