The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today mandated Glauk Konjufca to form the country's new Government. In the announcement made after the meeting, Osmani emphasized that this action is clearly defined by the Constitution of Kosovo and that it "leaves no other room for interpretation."
According to constitutional procedures, the prime minister has 15 days to convene a session of the Assembly to vote on the new government cabinet. If Konjufca fails to secure the necessary votes to form the Government within this deadline, then the country will head towards extraordinary parliamentary elections.
This development comes at a tense political period, as public eyes are already focused on negotiations over the composition of the cabinet and securing a majority in the Assembly.
