Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney died today at the age of 84. The conservative Cheney served as Vice President under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2009 and was also a fierce critic of President Donald Trump.
Cheney was known as one of the most powerful and controversial vice presidents in American history. According to American media, he died from complications of pneumonia and cardiovascular disease, after decades of heart problems.
During his tenure, he witnessed historic events such as the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the US invasion of Iraq.
