A fire has broken out in the Fujairah oil industrial zone in the United Arab Emirates after it was targeted in a drone attack. No injuries were reported in the attack.
"Civil defense teams in the emirate immediately dealt with the incident and are continuing their efforts to control it," the media office in Fujairah said.
The Port of Fujairah is a key oil hub in the United Arab Emirates. Fujairah exported an average of more than 1.7 million barrels per day of crude oil and refined fuels last year.
Iran's military had previously warned that it would target UAE ports in retaliation for an attack on Kharg Island, which Iranian officials claimed came from UAE territory.
