The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to the statement of the former director of SHISH, Vlora Hyseni, against journalist Klodiana Lala, describing it as an attempt at blackmail. In a statement to the media outside the Parliament, Berisha said that the use of such data against journalists constitutes blackmail and raised concerns that such a practice could also be used against prosecutors and judges.
"For the former head of the Service, who is now an ordinary criminal and not only an ordinary one, to answer the journalist's question in that way, firstly, she proves herself to be a blind vengeful person. Secondly, she slanders a journalist who attacks her boss. In this case, this is blackmail against journalists and this is a big problem, as this will also blackmail the prosecutors and judges themselves. I am very afraid that this is an ongoing process," said Berisha.
The DP leader also focused on journalists Baton Haxhiu, Berat Buzhala and Albatros Rexha, who, according to him, have had meetings with Vlora Hyseni. Berisha claimed that these meetings constitute a violation of the law in Kosovo and called on journalists' associations to refer the cases to the justice institutions in Pristina.
"The three journalists, Baton Haxhia, Berat Buzhala and Albatros Rexha, who, in accordance with Kosovo law, met Vlora Hyseni, have violated the law and are punishable.
