A powerful fire has been recorded near the "Blue Eye" natural monument, seriously endangering this popular tourist destination.
According to preliminary data, over 500 tourists were evacuated from the area, while over 100 vehicles were parked in the surrounding areas.
Only the firefighting forces of the Finiq MZSH are on the ground, and they are facing difficulties due to the terrain and the lack of air support. Authorities emphasize that without air support, extinguishing the flames and saving the natural monument becomes almost impossible.
The "Blue Eye" is one of Albania's most important natural assets, which attracts thousands of local and foreign visitors every year.
