
Over the past few hours, the fire situation in the country has continued to be alarming, with 21 identified fires, of which 14 are still active. In the Vlora Region, the fire continues to burn in the municipality of Finiq, where the flames have engulfed the village of Krane in the Mesopotam administrative unit. 37 firefighters from the municipalities of Finiq, Saranda, Konispol and Delvinë are operating with dedication on the ground, assisted by the police force, volunteers and the Armed Forces, also using air support to cope with this situation.
In the area called "Rëzom", near the Skërfica Tunnel, a fire in a difficult terrain with bushes and forests has required specialized intervention from employees of the Environmental Development Agency. Meanwhile, in the villages of Bolenë and Lukovë of the Himara municipality, Fire Protection forces and volunteers continue intensive work to extinguish the flames, also receiving support from the Armed Forces.
Also, in the Lezha Region, the fire in the village of Malaj i Epërm is under control, with continuous intervention by MZSH officers, foresters and volunteer forces. In Dibër, the fire near the village of Plani Bardhë is being monitored by firefighting forces who remain vigilant to prevent the spread.
The situation also remains critical in the Berat Region, where in the municipality of Poliçan a fire in an area of bushes and olive groves is still active and difficult to bring under control, while interventions continue with force. Other active fires have been registered in Kuçovë and Dimal, where firefighting forces are engaged in the field to extinguish the flames.
Authorities and emergency forces call for maximum caution and cooperation from citizens, while working tirelessly to cope with this difficult situation and protect residents and property from fire damage.
