A total of 18 fires have been identified in the country's territory over the past 24 hours, of which 7 remain active. The fires have spread to several regions and difficult terrain, requiring intensive intervention from the ground and air.
In the Vlora region, in the village of Navaricë, Administrative Unit of Dhivër, Municipality of Finiq, the situation remains problematic due to strong winds. During the night, the fire was kept under monitoring, while today an Air Force helicopter is operating in the field, as well as a Canadair aircraft from Croatia for air support.
In Fier district, Lofkënd village, Dukas Center Unit, Mallakastër Municipality, the fire has been largely contained thanks to the intervention of ground and air forces. It remains active only in the southern and northwestern parts of the area. 25 members of the Armed Forces (AF) and other local forces are working on the ground.
In the Lezha region, Malaj Epërm village, Mirditë Municipality, the fire continues to be active in a forest area with dense vegetation. The difficult terrain has made it impossible to operate with water jetting vehicles. There are currently 30 members of the Armed Forces on the ground, who are creating protective belts to contain the spread of the flames. So far, no danger has been reported for residential areas.
In the Dibër district, in the place called "Mali i Allushit", Plani Bardhë village, Klos Municipality, a previous outbreak has been reactivated, which has been brought under control and does not pose an immediate risk of further spread.
Meanwhile, in the Elbasan region, Lleshaj village, Gramsh Municipality, the fire source remains under monitoring by the Forest Service, to avoid possible reactivation.
In the Tirana district, on Mount Bërzhita, after the work of the Tirana MZSH forces yesterday, the fire has been brought under control and is being completely isolated. Work on the final extinguishing has continued today.
Also, in Tepelena, between the villages of Turan and Dukaj, firefighters are engaged in tackling the fire in another difficult mountainous area.
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the situation remains dynamic and monitored in real time by the authorities, while appealing for cooperation from citizens and maximum caution to avoid human causes of fires.

Fire situation nationwide
During the last 24 hours, 18 fires have been identified, of which 11 have been extinguished, while 7 are active. Currently, the fires are active in:
* Vlora Region.
In the village of Navarica, administrative unit, Dhivër, municipality of Finiq. The fire was kept under monitoring last night. Today it is reported that the situation due to the wind is problematic. An Air Force helicopter is going to support the forces on the ground. In support of the forces, a Croatian Canadair aircraft is also operating in Finiq.
* Fier District.
Lofkënd village, Qendër Dukas administrative unit, Mallakastër municipality. The engagement of forces on the ground and air intervention has made it possible to isolate the fire source in most of it. The fire remains active only in the southern and northwestern parts. Today, work continues to isolate the fire source with the support of 25 members of the Armed Forces and other forces from the municipal structures.
* Lezha District.
Malaj Epërm village, Rrëshen administrative unit, Mirditë municipality. The fire continues to be active in a forest area with pine, oak, shrubs and dense vegetation, in a difficult terrain that does not allow for operation with water-throwing vehicles. During yesterday, 33 operational forces from local structures operated in the area. The forces are mainly working on creating separation belts to prevent the spread of the fire. Today, 30 members of the Armed Forces are also operating in support of the forces. Currently, there is no danger to residential areas.
* Dibër District.
In the area called "Mali i Allushit", Plani Bardhë village, Klos municipality, the source of the fire that was extinguished days ago has been reactivated. The fire has been brought under control and does not pose a risk of spreading.
* Elbasan District
Lleshaj village, Poroçan administrative unit, Gramsh municipality. The fire is being monitored by Forest Service employees for possible reactivation.
* Tirana District.
Mountain of Bërzhitës, administrative unit of Bërzhitë, municipality of Tirana. After work during the day by the forces of the MZSH Tirana, the fire was brought under control and the source is on the verge of isolation. During the night, the area was kept under monitoring. Today, work continued in the field by the MZSH forces for the final extinguishing.
* In Tepelena, between the villages of Turan and Dukaj, Adm. Unit Center, where firefighting forces are working. The National Civil Protection Agency remains fully prepared for further coordination of forces on the ground and support of every structure in order to protect citizens and common property.
