Residents of the area protested on the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road axis, at the exit of the village of Kalivaç, blocking traffic in both directions for about 10 minutes.
Police intervention became necessary to clear the road, while the situation was accompanied by tensions and verbal clashes between residents and drivers, some of whom stated that they had sick passengers.
Protesters oppose the closure of an existing road connecting three villages to the new Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis and demand the intervention of the authorities to reopen it. They emphasize that the road is vital, as it provides them with access to the village and agricultural lands.
Meanwhile, engineers argue that the exit of this road to the main axis poses a risk of accidents. Despite this, residents warned that the protests will continue until a sustainable solution is found.
