As announced on social media, hundreds of citizens of Vlora took to the streets today to honor the memory of Leandro Shametaj, the 17-year-old who tragically lost his life three days ago in a road accident.
Among the participants were students from the "Ali Demi" high school, where Leandro taught, as well as numerous citizens who marched in silence to demand more accountability and safety on the city's streets.
The march was also joined by the prefect of the district, Evis Allushi. Participants walked from the Lead Mosque in the center of Vlora to the site of the tragedy, symbolizing their call for "life, not loss on the road."
