From November 1st, every citizen using the Kamëz-Tirana urban transport line will face increased ticket and subscription prices. According to sources from VNA, the ticket price will increase from 40 lek to 50 lek, while the subscription will cost 1400 lek from the current 1200 lek.
procedures
The line operator has requested a fee increase from the Transport Directorate in the Kamëz municipality, with a cost analysis, on the grounds that prices have increased everywhere.
The Municipality of Rakip Suli has prepared a technical and financial report to justify the change.
The proposal has been reviewed by the committees in the municipal council (economy, finance, transportation).
And the City Council has voted to approve the new tariff.
So far, no decision by the Kamza Municipal Council to increase the ticket price has been published, although such a process should officially go through these procedures and be publicly announced.
The fact is that citizens today have purchased season tickets for 1,400 lek and from tomorrow the ticket will cost 50 lek.
The increase in urban transport prices in Kamëz is unacceptable at a time when this service has not added to its routes, has not made any investments or improvements in transport, or even increased the salaries of its employees, but only because the private sector is not making its accounts, it says that costs have increased. And of course, the best way to cover the costs is through the pockets of citizens.
