New details have emerged regarding the incident that occurred yesterday near Police Station No. 3 in Tirana, where two women assaulted a police officer.
The two arrested women, MA, 38, and RA, 29, are sisters. The conflict between them and the officer began for a banal reason.
According to reports, at the time of the incident, the sisters were driving a vehicle, while the police officer, a crime scene agent, was in civilian clothes and was crossing the street to enter the police station. The sisters began to insult her, shouting that "you don't see when they cross the street."
After the verbal altercation, they parked the vehicle and ambushed the officer a few meters from the police station. The police warned them to stop and informed them that she was a police officer, but the sisters did not believe her.
"You blind man, don't you see when we pass by? Who are you lying to?" they are said to have said, before the situation escalated into physical violence.
The incident ended with the arrest of the two sisters, while the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
