Debora has been appearing in our country since the autumn months, bringing untimely snowfall to mountainous areas, especially in Dukagjin and Kukës. The snowfall has created a white landscape on the mountain peaks, while temperatures have dropped significantly, reaching 0-3 degrees Celsius.
However, the main roads remain open and passable for all vehicles. The Shkodër-Theth axis has not yet been affected by snow and the Vermoshi road in Malesia e Madhe is also free of snow, although the mountain peaks in these areas have been whitened by rainfall. The vehicles of the subcontractor companies are on full alert to intervene in case of worsening weather.
In Kukës, the first snowfalls started after midnight and have created a snow layer of up to 15 centimeters. In some villages of the Shishtavec administrative unit, power outages have been recorded, but snow removal vehicles are active to ensure free circulation and avoid obstacles on the road. The situation is being carefully monitored to guarantee the safety of residents and the movement of vehicles.
