Croatia has seized a large quantity of peppers contaminated with banned pesticides that had entered the country from Albania. The peppers reportedly contained the pesticides Flonicamid, Chlorfenapyr and Tebufenpyrad.
It is currently unknown how many vegetables have been seized in the country. It is expected that the AKU will issue an official announcement on the matter.
We recall that in early September, Slovenia also blocked a quantity of red peppers exported from Albania, after laboratory tests revealed high levels of pesticides dangerous to consumer health.
