A sudden technical failure has caused a complete disruption of the State Cadastral Agency's IT system across the country. As a result, citizens and public and private institutions are unable to benefit from any services related to property registration or verification.
Sources from within the institution indicate that the problem is technical and work is being done to restore the system's functionality as soon as possible. At this moment, there is no official deadline for when online and over-the-counter services will be restored.
Meanwhile, many citizens who had booked appointments at cadastral offices have been turned away, while legal and administrative procedures that depend on cadastral documents have been temporarily suspended.
This incident has also raised concerns among notaries, banks and other institutions that depend on cadastral data for their daily processes.
The agency has not yet issued an official announcement about the cause of the defect or the expected time for the system to return to function.
