More than 30,000 people crossed the Kakavija customs border over the weekend. According to information from the Border Police, 10,034 crossings were recorded in the last 24 hours alone, of which 5,824 citizens entered Albania, while 4,210 exited.
Also, 3,264 vehicles were registered that crossed the border, of which 1,751 entered and 1,531 exited. The largest number of crossings was by our compatriots who work and live in Greece, who return to spend the summer holidays with their families.
The Kakavija Border Police has deployed 4 entry and 3 exit counters to facilitate the large flow of passengers and avoid long queues. Greek authorities are also working to better manage crossings and reduce waiting times at the border.
