
After the ceasefire between the US and Iran was reached, the Transparency Board met and decided to reduce the price of oil by 4 lek, from 224 lek to 220 lek. Meanwhile, the Board did not consider it reasonable to reduce gasoline, which will continue to be sold at 181 lek/liter.
The Transparency Board on April 8, 2026, at its next meeting, decided:
The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should be no more than 220 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 208 lek/liter.
The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 181 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 169 lek/liter.
The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, the 8th, at 3:30 p.m. and will be valid until the next board meeting where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.
