Our country has been in an alarming situation for several days due to fires throughout its territory. Currently, 37 fires are active, spread across several regions of the country, with incalculable damage to forests, pastures, olive groves, homes and livestock infrastructure. The fires, fueled by strong winds and high temperatures, have engulfed deep mountainous and inhabited areas, endangering the safety of residents and testing local and state capacities.
Vlora Region
In the municipality of Delvina, the fire situation is problematic, as the fire has penetrated the Kasapaj neighborhood, into apartments. Two Czech and Slovak helicopters are also participating in the operation to assist ground forces.
In the municipality of Finiq, the active hotbed of the Dhivër outbreak, which is currently in Syrin e Kaltër, Pecë, Sirakat, Kardhikaq, towards the municipality of Delvinë, in the hills surrounding the city from the village of Vllahat towards the village of Kakodhiq, continues. At the same time, the hotbed has captured the plateau of the Gjerë mountain and Sopot. For today, it is being operated at the capacity of the municipality.
In the village of Bistrica, Mesopotam administrative unit, Finiq municipality. The fire is taking place high up in the mountain. There is no danger to homes, it is being kept under control.
In the village of Tremul, Aliko administrative unit, Finiq municipality, where the situation is serious as homes are at risk. There are 1 fire truck with 3 personnel from Finiq Fire Department and 1 vehicle with 3 personnel from Saranda Fire Department on the ground.
A fire has been activated in the Sopot Mountain, Delvina municipality, which is approaching the territory of the Gjirokastër municipality. Forces from the Gjirokastër MZSH are on the ground.
Dibër District
The fire in Ternovo, Zerqan administrative unit, Bulqizë municipality, helped by the wind, has grown in size. Forces from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Municipal employees, as well as forces from private mining companies, are operating on the ground, due to the terrain, they are having difficulty controlling the fire, which is favored by the wind near the Black Lake. There are 30 forces from the Armed Forces and 50 forces from the municipality on the ground
In Mali me Gropa in Bizë of Martanesh, Bulqizë Municipality, Martanesh administrative unit, the fire is still active. The village of Val has also been affected, but does not pose a danger to homes. Work is underway to finally isolate it.
In the Miravec neighborhood, Sohodoll village, Kastriot administrative unit, Dibër municipality, a new fire has appeared in areas of bushes, thorny bushes and grass, but without danger to homes. There are 4 MZSH forces and 1 fire engine on the ground.
Berat District.
In the village of Rehova, administrative unit of Tërpan, municipality of Poliçan. The fire in the “Balloll Managed Reserve”, a protected area, continues to remain active. Part of the fire is moving to the western side of Mount Selenica, putting several homes at risk, in the village of Çorogjaf, Selenica Neighborhood. There are currently 1 fire truck and 6 forces of the Armed Forces, 1 vehicle and 4 forces of the Dimal MZSH on the ground.
In the village of Vokopolë, administrative unit of Tërpan, municipality of Poliçan, as a result of a spark from the disconnection of the voltage line, a fire has been activated, which has quickly grown in size. Forces and vehicles from the Ministry of Environment and the municipality were deployed to the scene. As a result of the fire, 6 apartments were burned, of which 3 were uninhabited. The fire is of low intensity and is being monitored.
In the village of Mbrakull, administrative unit of the Poliçan municipality, outside the territory of the Mechanical Plant, a fire is still active in an area of bushes and olive groves. There are still operational forces on the ground.
In the village of Velçan, Sinjë administrative unit, Berat municipality. The fire has been reactivated. 3 vehicles with 20 MZSH personnel and 25 municipal forces are working at the scene. The fire is spreading and air support is required.
In the village of Orizaj, administrative unit Qendër Skrapar, municipality of Skrapar. 6 firefighting forces and 2 MZSH vehicles, 5 employees of the Forest Service of the municipality of Skrapar, 5 volunteer forces are working on the ground. The fire is under monitoring. About 100 ha of bushes, olives and fruit trees have burned.
In the village of Çiflig, Poshnje administrative unit, Kuçovë municipality. 8 MZSH officers are on their way to the scene with 1 vehicle.
In the village of Goraj, Perondi administrative unit, Kuçovë municipality, a fire has appeared in an area with olive groves, which has grown in size. 1 fire engine with 8 operational forces have gone to the field.
Tirana District
In the villages of Spanesh, Kazie and Spille, administrative unit Kryevidh, municipality of Rrogozhina. The fire has been brought under control. The fire does not pose a risk of spreading.
In the villages of Ferraj and Zall-Herr, in the administrative unit of Zall-Herr, a fire that started on 10.8.2025 is spreading in the territory of these villages of Ferraj and Zall Herr. The hilly terrain makes it difficult for forces and vehicles to intervene from the ground. There are 20 firefighting forces on the ground with 4 MZSH vehicles from the municipalities of Tirana and Kavaja, 11 AdZM forces, 5 APR forces and State Police forces.
In the villages of Damjan-Fortuzaj and Isufaj, Arbëna area, Vaqarr administrative unit. The hotbed is active in the hills of Vaqarr and Peza. There is no risk to homes and monitoring from the ground is continuing.
The fire in "Mali i Bërzhitës", Ibë village, Bërzhitë administrative unit, Tirana municipality, remains active. The fire continues to spread to the village of Durishtë. There are 12 firefighting forces on the ground with 3 MZSH vehicles, 5 APR vehicles, as well as the presence of the State Police.
In Kodër Selitë, administrative unit no. 5, a fire has been activated and is under control.
Gjirokaster District
In the direction of the village of Dhuvjan and the villages of Lugar and Frashtan, the fire that came from the municipality of Finiqi opened on two fronts at the top of Leftokare: in the villages of Lugar and Frashtan, the fire was brought under control, while work is underway to extinguish the fire in the direction of the village of Dhuvjan.
In the village of Hormovë, administrative unit of Qendër Tepelena, municipality of Tepelena. The work of the forces on the ground has averted the danger to the homes. 4 firefighters, 8 municipal forces from the municipality of Gjirokastër and 2 vehicles have intervened. Work continues for the final extinguishing.
In the village of Koshtan, Qesarat administrative unit, Memaliaj municipality. The danger to the homes has been averted and the situation is being monitored with 4 fire engines and 1 four-wheel drive vehicle.
In the village of Turan, administrative unit Qendër Tepelena, municipality of Tepelena, work continued to extinguish the fire, which spread towards the villages of Lekel and Kodër. Two livestock stables, 1 cow, 2 calves and 1 horse were burned. The fire continues to be active, but has somewhat reduced its intensity. Forces and vehicles from the entire Gjirokastër region operated on the ground, with 6 firefighting vehicles with 23 personnel, 20 police forces, 20 municipal forces, 15 volunteer forces and 20 forces from the Armed Forces. Today, work continues with forces on the ground assisted by two Czech and Slovak helicopters.
A fire has appeared in the village of Lazarat, Gjirokastër municipality, coming from Delvina.
In the municipality of Dropull, in the village of Goranxi above the Monastery of St. Mary, a fire has appeared, which has now been brought to normal. The fire continues beyond the Sopot antennas towards Delvina and Gjirokastra.
Elbasan District
The fire continues in the village of Kullollas, Skënderbegas Administrative Unit, Gramsh Municipality, where the situation has worsened with the involvement of the villages around Haruna. The fire is moving towards the village of Nartë, where an evacuation notice has been issued. There was an increase in the intensity of the fire. All capacities of the district are concentrated in Gramsh. Two EBA helicopters are operating. There are 2 firefighting vehicles on the ground in the Nartë area and 3 firefighting vehicles are above the village of Skënderbegas.
In the villages of Mukaj and Sojnik, Kukur administrative unit, Gramsh municipality, a fire continues to burn in areas with bushes and thorny bushes. Firefighters from Elbasan and Gramsh are also on the ground near the villages of Snosëm and Sojnik, accompanied by municipal employees and residents of the area.
A fire has been activated in the village of Garunjë, Pajovë administrative unit, Peqin municipality.
A new fire has broken out in the village of Polis Gurëshpat, Polis administrative unit, Librazhd municipality. 1 fire engine with 4 operational forces have gone to the scene.
Shkodra District
In the village of Xeth, Blerim administrative unit, Fushë Arrëz municipality. The fire is in a forest area and has a large spread. The force in operation: 65 FA personnel, 2 ZF vehicles, 16 firefighting personnel and 2 vehicles from the Fushë Arrëz municipality. 77 municipal and forestry forces. 16 police forces. The situation today is calmer and the homes are out of danger.
A forest fire has been reported in the municipality of Puke, Mesul. The fire is under control and is being monitored.
In the village of Shegan, Kastrat administrative unit, Malësi e Madhe municipality. The terrain makes the work of the forces difficult.
In the administrative unit of Postribë, the situation is under control.
Kukes District
In the municipality of Kukës, the fire in the forest area of the Monella Natural Park, in a place called Maja e Zezë, has been isolated.
Korca District
In the village of Gërmenj, administrative unit of Leskovik Center, municipality of Kolonjë. The fire remains problematic due to the presence of ammunition, which explodes from time to time. Engineer teams from the Armed Forces are on the ground to assess the situation regarding combat ammunition. The situation continues to be monitored.
Lezha District
In the villages of Blinisht and Kotërr, Blinisht administrative unit, two fires have appeared near the village church.
