A difficult night has passed for the city of Delvina, where the flames have seriously threatened residents and local infrastructure. The fight against the fire has been heroic, with the commitment of local and Tirana fire brigades, the army and residents. However, the fires in the Kakodhiq area still keep the situation tense.
About 10 citizens, including 4 soldiers, received medical assistance for asphyxiation, while the Delvina hospital was temporarily relocated to the city's Cinematheque due to flames and smoke.
A massive fire has also engulfed the village of Hormovë, near the border with Gjirokastra, where Fire Protection and Rescue forces have been working since 04:00 to contain the flames. The situation is alarming due to dense vegetation, strong winds and proximity to residential areas, while authorities are calling for calm and compliance with emergency instructions.
Firefighters and emergency teams continue monitoring to prevent the flames from spreading further.
