
Tirana Police announced that they have arrested 2 people, while 30 others are under investigation after they threw hard objects and pyrotechnic devices at Police officers, during the rally held yesterday near Parliament.
Six police officers were injured during the rally.

On 23.07.2026, at around 09:30, on "George W. Bush" Street, near the Parliament, a rally was held during which some of the participants opposed State Police employees scheduled to serve to guarantee public order and safety, and threw hard objects, pyrotechnic devices and other items at them.
As a result of investigative actions, 32 citizens were identified who are suspected of having committed these illegal actions during the rally. The following:
- citizens OP, 41 years old, and AI, 44 years old, were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Obstructing the circulation of means of transport", "Disturbing public peace", "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations", "Opposing a public order police officer", "Strike due to duty" and "Violation of rules on explosives and flammable substances";
-proceedings were initiated in the free state for citizens PD, AM, EK, EK, VH, KP, AP, DD, JA, EK, YT, MR, VM, AB, SD, EI, AS, EH, ES, ID, EP, CM, DT, EL, FA, A. Ç., A. Zh., FS, AB and IM, for the criminal offenses "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations", "Disturbing public peace", "Opposing a public order police officer" and "Obstructing the movement of means of transport".
As material evidence, capsules were seized which were found in a plasma bag carried by the arrested citizen AI.
The 6 police officers who were injured during the rally received treatment in hospital and are out of danger.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions.
