The SP MP for the Korça region, Romina Kuko, is so far the only voice from the majority who has publicly reacted to the blockage of the Librazhd-Përrenjas road, one of the main arteries connecting the southeast with Tirana.
In a Facebook reaction, Kuko calls the situation "unacceptable" and emphasizes that the blockade has directly violated the daily lives of citizens, free movement and road safety. She expresses her support for the investigations launched by the Prosecutor's Office, demanding that the process be carried out with speed, impartiality and full transparency.
According to her, fully clarifying the causes and determining responsibilities is an obligation towards citizens, while the law must act equally for everyone. The MP also underlines that institutions have the obligation to provide immediate solutions and restore normality, while the authorities are working to alleviate the situation.
