DP Chairman Sali Berisha has stated that the placement of TNT in Xhelal Mziu's apartment was intended to silence the DP MP, emphasizing that the attack was carried out by state thugs.
In a statement together with the DP MP, Berisha stated that Edi Rama will be held fully responsible. The chief democrat emphasized that the amount of explosives was considerable and the explosion also caused damage to the surrounding area.
"Today I am here with MP Xhelal Mziu to denounce an act of state terrorism against the MP and his family. The apartment of MP Xhelal Mziu, while he was inside the apartment, was attacked with TNT by state thugs. The gangs are today the total property of the state. The amount of explosives was considerable and has also caused damage to the surrounding area. This act comes after yesterday's unconstitutional stance of the head of the criminal organization towards parliament and the opposition. This act has only one goal, to silence the opposition. For all of this, I guarantee Edi Rama that he will bear maximum responsibility," he declared.
Meanwhile, Democratic MP Xhelal Mziu has described the explosives explosion that occurred last evening in his apartment in Kodër-Kamëz as an act of political revenge.
Mziu stated that the incident is not accidental and, according to him, represents a clear signal from the government to intimidate and attack opposition voices. He emphasized that there are no personal conflicts, debts or open issues, ruling out any motive other than politics.
