In one of the last parliamentary sessions, Gazment Bardhi and Niko Peleshi raised the alarm in the Assembly and interrupted the session for a few minutes, concerned that some inspectors had entered Parliament after complaints that smoking was being done indoors.
Amidst the overlapping of words, the Minister of Health, Ms. Sala, said that "there are authorized persons to control the controls."
As VNA has learned, the inspectors' sudden entry was made after a complaint about smoking.
Specifically, Chief Inspector Marjus Seiti has ordered that "the inspection team conduct an inspection regarding the complaint received "for smoking" in the closed premises of the Coffee Bar in the Parliament institution. The inspection team consists of Gerta Sejfulla, Andi Caushaj and Klaus Shaqiri."
The head of the State Health Inspectorate requested in writing that the Republican Guard allow the inspectors to enter.
According to data obtained from the Albanian Parliament, so far, neither the institution nor any MP has officially received any fine at the end of this inspection.
"No request, letter or inspection report from the ISS has been filed in the Assembly minutes regarding this inspection," the Assembly said.
Thus, all the fuss about catching the deputies red-handed remained an attempt. "Either there was no smoke, or he was somewhere far away."
