SPAK leader Altin Dumani has refuted the claims of opposition MPs that SPAK did not act with the Task Force for the elections. Responding to the claim of DP MP Oerd Bylykbashi, Dumani spoke about specific cases in the Laws Committee and even said that he had direct communication with Bylykbashi during the elections in Durrës.
The head of SPAK also said that he has sent investigators and prosecutors to Bylykbashi whenever there have been allegations, to verify the situation on the ground. Dumani also pointed out the immaturity of the opposition, saying that while they were sending prosecutors evidence of electoral crimes, television news headlines appeared that in this or that country "votes are being bought."
"We have also had communication together during the election campaign. You have also had communication with the prosecutor in charge who covered Durrës. We have verified every claim of yours, we have verified every claim of yours in real time. Investigators and prosecutors have been sent in the middle of the night, every time SPAK has been signaled that it should be there in the field. You have even praised the special prosecutor for the cooperation you have had with him over time. And the result is this, honorable deputy, that the moment you file a complaint with SPAK and we are building a job to build the investigation, you say that in such and such a place votes are being bought, votes are being sold, as we organize the work to investigate the case, we see in the media with subtitles that in such and such a place votes are being bought.
I can tell you another case, the case of Mr. Gjoni. We have sent prosecutors, investigators from the BKH directly to verify. A report was received, citizens were questioned, every allegation was verified. Another case in Shkodra, we did the same thing. In Korça we did the same thing. Now we are 20 prosecutors," said Dumani.
