The Democratic Party has announced that it will not send representatives to the October 17 protest to be held in Tirana, in support of the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army who are facing justice at the Special Court in The Hague.
In a statement to the media, the DP emphasizes that the main reason for non-participation is the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama at this rally.
The Democratic Party accuses Prime Minister Rama of positions and actions that, according to it, have harmed Kosovo, citing the imposition of sanctions against it and the declaration that Northern Kosovo is "no man's land".
"We consider the KLA War a liberation war of an occupied people. We consider the KLA leaders innocent and we hope and pray for their innocence."
But we cannot be with the head of Narco who has stabbed Kosovo in the back every time he has been given the opportunity, with the one who imposed sanctions on Kosovo when no other country would sanction it.
"We cannot be together with the one who called Northern Kosovo "No Man's Land". We cannot be together with Vučić's brother who tries to use the KLA War and its leaders to embellish his anti-Albanian image," the DP's response states.
