The Albanian Parliament announces the postponement of the meeting of the Council on Rules of Procedure, Mandates and Immunity
In support of Article 73 of the Constitution, Article 13, point 5, and Article 118 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, and taking into account that at the first meeting of the Council, held on 19.12.2025, members of this Council requested that the review of the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime "for authorization by the Assembly for the arrest/deprivation of liberty of the deputy/minister/deputy prime minister through the replacement of the security measure", be linked to the adoption and preliminary assessment of the relevant decision of the Constitutional Court, assessing that such a review aims to guarantee a complete, objective decision-making process in accordance with constitutional principles, in order to avoid violating the principle of legal certainty and guarantee the constitutional regularity of the activity and decision-making of the Assembly.
