The Special Court rejected the request of the lawyers of former Defense Minister Fatmir Mediu to conduct an expert examination of a fax with the note "for Shkëlzeni", which was presented as evidence in the process by SPAK.
The fax with this note was sent from the Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Defense and was found during the investigation into the Gërdec tragedy, for which former Minister Mediu is being tried. Shkëlzen Berisha, the son of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, to whose address the fax was sent, also testified in this matter.
Meanwhile, during the hearing at the Special Court, Mediu's lawyers claimed that a series of documents, which were brought by prosecutors to court, were not made available to them by the court.
To make this possible, the court adjourned the hearing and adjourned it to February 10.
