Former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj stated in the first court session that SPAK did not communicate the new charge of theft by abuse of office and organized criminal group to him. "I am only familiar with the charge of abuse of office," he said in the session.
Ilir Beqaj is being tried for the Sterilization concession by a three-judge panel headed by Rudina Palloj and members Irena Gjoka and Erion Çela. Beqaj is being tried alone after he refused a summary trial and the case was separated from the other defendants.
