The elected MP of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, announced today that he has officially addressed SPAK to inform them about the new evidence made public regarding the "McGonigal" file.
"Today I officially addressed SPAK to inform them about the new data published by the US Department of Justice on the McGonigal affair. The American investigation has proven the criminal responsibility of Edi Rama, so SPAK must implement the law and not protect the most corrupt Prime Minister in Europe," writes Bardhi.
According to him, the document was submitted on behalf of the DP parliamentary group and was signed by him as the group's chairman. However, the document, although bearing the Assembly logo, does not have an official seal.

His action raises several questions: on behalf of which parliamentary group did Bardhi speak? The one that has completed its mandate or the new group that has not yet been formed? Moreover, the Democratic Party has not yet decided who will lead the parliamentary group in the new legislature.
Even if Bardhi is to be reconfirmed as chairman, it remains unclear why he rushed to send an official letter to SPAK without the appropriate stamp.
It is not excluded that his action will be seen as a message to Sali Berisha, to show him that if he gives him the leadership of the group again, Bardhi is ready to take over the political battles.
In any case, he must explain why the document sent on behalf of the DP parliamentary group is unsealed.
