The seventh speech of the Democratic Party before the Prime Minister's Office lasted only 20 minutes, and was a copy of the previous ones, with the usual accusations of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
A few moments ago, the leading democrat said to his supporters, whose numbers had shrunk even more due to the cold, that wherever you touch the regime in Albania, only theft flows.
"We are facing today the most caricatured, most shameful, most decomposed regime in Europe and the world. The regime, from which wherever you touch it, theft, theft and only theft of Albanians flows. The regime, which is kept afloat by deception, by propaganda, by fabrications," said Berisha.
In an attempt to draw a parallel with the protest situation in Iran, Berisha said that the streets of Tehran are filled with courageous oppositionists and, according to him, the Democratic Party will do the same.
"For two weeks, the streets of Tehran and other cities of Iran have been filled with courageous, brave oppositionists, who, despite the massacres, the barrages of the obscurantist ayatollahs, are walking confidently towards victory. And we come here because we have this faith. Because we believe in our righteous ideals. And because we believe that these ideals will soon triumph," he said.
But Berisha's comparisons seem to be just another political rhetoric, because in reality, the DP protests not only lack the intensity and size of those in Iran, but they also do not inspire hope among citizens to support them.
The problem, which Berisha knows about but seems to refuse to solve, was raised by one of the young members of the FRPD who took the floor on the podium. He criticized the way the party is being managed, stating that the DP is recycling and not regenerating generations.
"Even today, I consider it wrong to impose on the Democrats some unpopular figures among us. I even find their promotion to leadership positions within the DP or the Parliamentary Group completely inappropriate. We senselessly violated the process that we ourselves promoted so strongly as an example of internal democracy, the Primaries. We took revenge on some of the most voted people. The concept of the democrats as monarchs behind the chair, especially the opposition chair, does not suit the DP as a concept. Everyone has a political cycle. We are all replaceable, and the DP is recycling, not regenerating generations. That is why we finally got the election results," said the DP member.
