"I was summoned for a peripheral matter by prosecutor Arben Kraja." This is what Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi declared, as he left the SPAK premises, where he was questioned for more than 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Sources say that this is an issue related to the investigation into the assets of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his family members.
According to the same sources, Këlliçi was asked about the method of financing the Re-establishment Assembly, December 11, 2021, where the MP was one of the organizers along with Flamur Noka and Albana Vokshi.
As a reminder, on December 11, Sali Berisha, together with the aforementioned, organized a rally at the Air Albania Stadium, where they de facto took over the leadership of the DP and Berisha declared himself party leader.
No one at the time answered the question of who financed that activity, where at least 1 million euros were spent, calculated on infrastructure and people's hospitality.
But apparently, these expenses are also passing through the SPAK's sieve, which has caught Belind Këlliçi off guard, who on this occasion has kept his mouth shut about the Special Prosecution Office and has not spoken to journalists.
It remains to be seen what will result from SPAK's investigations into this matter.
