The Central Election Commission is auditing the expenses of political parties and candidates in the May 11 elections. After receiving the expenses that the entities have declared, the CEC is also collecting official information from the relevant media to cross-check the data if they match each other.
Thus, the commission has requested receipts for payments made by candidates to various media outlets, including local media.
The first data has already arrived. The documents obtained by VNA provide information about a single local television station, with a limited audience.
What is understood is that both parties have taken care to pay this small media outlet during the campaign, with almost similar amounts for all interested candidates, proving that all pockets must be satisfied before the elections.
Although significantly more socialists have invested money in this media, two democrats have not been spared either. Below are the exact payment data, which illustrate just one segment of how candidates and parties are exploiting all possible spaces in the campaign, for propaganda or to curb critical approaches.
