The closed-door meeting of the Conference of Speakers was accompanied by intense debates between the opposition and the majority.
In his speech, the chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, made serious accusations against the head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, as 'Suel Çela's pawn'.
At the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, Bardhi accused Balla of dictating the opposition's space in the Assembly, and reminded the latter how Suel Çela had beaten him and would not come near him again.
"You are a pawn of Suel Çela and you come here with banal vocabulary. Who are you to dictate the space to the opposition? You will go to prison. You are a pawn of Suel Çela, who used you and now he will not come near you anymore, because he has thrown you away and thrown you away."
The leader of the SP Group, Taulant Balla, did not pay much attention to Bardhi's accusations and ignored him with the words "fart, fart". Balla continued by asking the opposition to respect the rules of procedure and allow each other to speak during plenary sessions. Balla's stance came after the opposition complained that they were not allowed to speak. Balla told them that when the Prime Minister takes the floor, they should respect him. "How the Prime Minister uses his speech is his right," Balla said.
"Please, do not distort what we say. I repeat to you that when you speak, no one listens to us. You should do the same. Let us give the floor to each other so that we can all speak, according to the rules. We have tried to tell you from day one: when the Prime Minister takes the floor, you must respect him. How the Prime Minister uses his floor is his right. There was a proposal from Mr. Bardhi to start the debate. Before we enter, we have some requests for motions for debate. These requests are clearly defined in the rules: the pros and cons are presented, and at the end, after that, the vote is taken," says Balla.
Bardhi also called on the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, to step down from the position of Speaker of the Assembly.
"What you did with the last session is a violation of the rules of procedure and the Constitution. I am quoting it here: I request the interruption of the session because the matter of procedure was being discussed. Mr. Peleshi, you have undertaken to lead the Assembly. If the Assembly is led by the group leader, tell us, because the opposition has no place in an Assembly that is dictated by the forces of cardboard. You cannot close the Assembly because the deputies are speaking.
DP MP Agron Gjekmarkaj, from the Conference of Speakers, stressed that the majority has double standards when it comes to the behavior of the opposition. He claimed that the leader of the Socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, insulted Gazment Bardhi off the microphone, while according to him, the Socialist ladies did not react.
While addressing the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, Gjekmarkaj said: "I feel sorry for you, Speaker, because they are undoing you, they are ambushing you, they are commanding you from below and above! They say that they will take the seat in 6 months! I am not making a diversion, I am stating the institutional hierarchy."
