The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has described the election of Klodian Braho as head of SPAK as being based on the Constitution. In a statement to the media, Berisha said that Braho was elected in accordance with the law, in stark contrast to his predecessor Altin Dumani.
He also criticized KLP members, calling them "misogynists," for not giving any votes to the only female candidate in the race, Doloreza Musabelliu.
"Yesterday the Constitution was implemented. He was not elected like the first one with 5 votes, which was unconstitutional and who could not stay in office even a day. The second one received 7 votes. And the second comment, there was a lady there, which shows that that KLP body is misogynistic, they did not give her a single vote. There was a lady there, she did not go there herself. The SPAK commission sent her to the KLP. Two or three ladies who were in the KLP did not think to give her a single vote, they removed her without a single vote. These are my two comments about yesterday's election. He was elected in accordance with the Constitution, in great contrast to his predecessor who has no Constitution or law. But here the Constitution was implemented," said Berisha.
But it seems that the leader of the DP will not spare the anathematization of the new head of SPAK. He said that he will again call any prosecutor who will conduct investigations similar to those carried out in the “Toyota Auris” file a criminal organization. In fact, this file has also been investigated by the newly elected head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, for whom Berisha said that it is a file that shows that there is a criminal organization in the Special Prosecution Office consisting of five names.
"Whoever thinks that my statement about a criminal organization is political, I ask only one thing: to read the 'Toyota Auris' file. And you will be convinced whether there is a structured criminal group or a criminal organization consisting of 5 names in SPAK. If you have all this and do not take any measures within SPAK, how can I believe it? Tomorrow, if I find a file of this one, I will say absolutely the same thing, if I find another group. I am an opposition, I will protect the public interest regardless of any price," said Berisha.
