The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke to the media after leaving SPAK, where he was asked if he had received a summons regarding the January 21 issue.
Berisha stated that a full investigation of the event is in his and the DP's interest, describing the demonstration of January 21, 2011 as "the most violent, with a political agenda to overthrow the government."
"The clarification of this matter is in the greatest interest of Sali Berisha and the DP. There was no order from anyone and they will never find one, because it did not exist. The Guard acted according to the law approved by the socialist majority, before we came to power," Berisha said.
He added that he is ready to appear for any summons that may be issued to him by the judiciary:
"I show up in every case. I have my own concepts for the state and I have proven them," Berisha concluded.
