The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has confirmed that the opposition will be part of the Territorial Reform Commission. In a statement to the media outside the Parliament, Berisha said that the prime minister is trying to divert attention from the scandals by playing “games” with the Commission, while reiterating that the DP has been and will be part of it.
"No meeting has been announced to the opposition members. It is all manipulation by Edi Rama that he will postpone it, but we are focused on his coup d'état. In the commission, we are as we are not. We have been and are. Do you believe Tao's lies?" said Berisha.
But contrary to what Berisha declares, that the voices for non-participation come from the majority, we recall that the leader of the democrats himself had publicly declared several times that the DP would boycott any cooperation with the majority on reforms. His change of position came only yesterday after the meeting of the DP parliamentary group, where some deputies were against the decision to boycott.
