Socialist MP Erion Braçe has issued direct criticism of the SP's political leader in Fier, Belinda Balluku, deepening the perception of internal tensions and dissatisfaction in the socialist camp.
Invited to the show "This Week", Braçe was asked about the situation in the Fier district, where he was previously an MP, and about Balluk's role as the political leader of this district.
The socialist MP stated that he does not see any commitment from her on issues related to agriculture, while also criticizing the Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj, MP for Lushnja.
"I would like her presence in Fier to help with issues related to agriculture. So far I don't see it. I don't even see the Minister of Finance, who is a deputy in Lushnje, engaged with that issue. Absolutely not," said Braçe.
He also raised concerns about the food security situation, warning that according to him, a climate is being created that risks unfairly hitting the entire agricultural sector.
According to Braça, the majority of Albanian farmers produce "good and honest", while emphasizing that the issue of food safety cannot be used to move towards monopolizing the market.
Braça's statements come at a time when critical voices and public distancing towards Balluk, who is still seen as one of the most powerful figures in the majority, are increasing within the Socialist Party.
