Mirlinda Karçanaj has also commented on the accusations against her for "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions", committed in the form of a structured criminal group, as well as for "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group".
In her statements on Top Channel, Karçanaj said that she has always had respect for the prosecutor's profession and for the work of SPAK, even though today she herself is under investigation.
"I have respect for the work of professionals and prosecutors, even before my world was turned upside down. I have viewed SPAK with admiration, although I have it on my back like in my worst nightmare," she declared.
The former director of the AKSHI said she believes that the process against her will be based on evidence and documents and not on public perceptions or videos "taken out of context."
"I don't believe that prosecutors and judges will be unfair to me after questioning me and investigating evidence and documents, and not with videos taken out of context," Karçanaj said.
She also hinted that the public and media climate has influenced how the issue has been perceived, suggesting that media reporting has also contributed to public tension and prejudice towards it.
