After Niko Peleshi refused to give the floor to Ulsi Manja, the latter waited for the moment to take the floor and responded to the Speaker of the Assembly directly from the podium.
"Mr. Speaker of the Assembly, since you didn't give me the floor to respond to Sali Berisha, I should at least ask you to publicly apologize over the microphone for lowering your rank. You preferred that instead of my public apology without a microphone, your cynicism over the microphone dominate."
I want to remind you that the power of feeling, even without a microphone, is stronger than anyone's cynicism towards their colleagues in this room.
I know the rules of the Assembly as a member of parliament for years, and when there is an issue for discussion with a certain amount of time, no reply is allowed, but in agreement with the colleague, the order of the speech can be changed.
You did not have this understanding, but you have my full understanding that it is not easy to face a political dinosaur like Berisha, who survives in power with the tools he knows how to use best: slander, mud, blackmail, and the status he recently received, "non grata."
"To deal with this type of politics, the rules of the Assembly are not helpful, except for your own rules," said Manja.
While Manja had not yet finished speaking, when the signal indicating the end of his time rang, Peleshi addressed him, telling him that he could finish his speech to the end.
But Manja, in harsh tones, refused to continue speaking and left the podium, declaring:
"I don't want alms, Chairman, in violation of the rules."
After Gazment Bardhi's accusations against Pelesh for not recognizing the rules of procedure, it seems that the Speaker of the Assembly has started to show more harshness towards the majority MPs. The wonder lies precisely in the fact why Pelesh chose to publicly clash with Ulsi Manja.
What is happening behind the closed doors of the Parliament offices? Has the fear of compromising with the DP on the regulation begun to disrupt the balance within the majority?
