Prime Minister Edi Rama has given the final warning to former minister Elisa Spiropali, saying that if she makes a third mistake, she will be expelled from the party. In an interview with "Koha Jonë", Rama said that he tolerated her the first two times because of her contribution to the Socialist Party.
"Anyone can make a mistake. Anyone who has made contributions can make a mistake a second time, and the third time is a waste," he said.
In an attempt to give other "colors" to the debate with Spiropali and to show that he is different from his opponent in the opposition, the prime minister tried to treat the MP's calls with a dose of humor, saying that they are in the context of love.
"Whoever says, 'Come here, you have me,' 'kill me,' says it because they love you. So these things shouldn't be taken literally, they're completely normal as long as they don't cross the red line," he said.
For most of the interview, Rama spoke ironically about the way the opposition is run, but when the same topic was mentioned within the SP, his tone became noticeably more cautious. This also shows Rama’s paradox: while criticizing Berisha for his “strong hand” in the party, he himself does the same thing within the SP, talking about “red lines.”
