At first glance, it is a banal tender, one of those that are regularly stolen in Albania every day. Only 800 thousand euros "stinking" - would be labeled by the predators of public funds, while it is about 800 thousand euros that the QSUT has projected to buy heart surgery tools for the next two years. The company Evita of Klodian Allajbeu won it, even though it submitted a higher bid than the other company Montal.
But this is not such a strange fact in a country where tenders are subject to abuse and the "gogol" SPAK is the only one who has made officials hold their hands a little when signing. The biggest surprise in this 800 thousand euro tender is that Klodian Allajbeu, the owner of two private hospitals, sells tools to the state hospital in Tirana to perform operations.
In other words, the state and private hospitals that should be in competition with each other do not even consider this fact, because the private owner has decided to sell some surgical instruments to the state hospital at a high price - in the role of distributor this time - and profit from the next 800 thousand euros.
As if the QSUT or other operators are incompetent and Klodian Allajbeu should benefit from even the pennies, as the 800 thousand euros of this tender can be considered, compared to the nearly 220 million euros that he has benefited from dialysis and laboratory concessions.
It is unfortunate that in these conditions everyone is silent: the media is silent for marketing reasons, politics for sponsorship reasons, and Facebook benefactors for reasons they know best. As if it is much easier to shout and raise your voice for the millions for the tunnel and roads. Even those have come out of our pockets.
But even though it's "only" 800 thousand stinking euros, it will be much more when some Albanians need to receive services at the cardiosurgery. And all of the above will go to "Claude's hospital" without paying. The rest of you will face the 800 thousand stinking euros that were stolen from you today, eye for eye.
